In this episode Theo follows 3 entrepreneurs as they travel to Vietnam to try and do business. The three business are a magazine company, an education business, and a luxury boat venture. Each of the hopefuls have varying degrees of success, and learn some interesting lessons about business, investing, and some of the obstacles to navigate when entering a new market, like regulations, and culture. Certainly an entertaining and somewhat eye opening documentary - particularly interesting from a venture capital investing point of view.
"Vietnam" -- Dragon's Den star Theo Paphitis follows the fortunes of three brave and bold British companies trying to expand in three of the world's most dynamic and emerging markets -- India, Brazil and Vietnam. While Britain is still stuck in a recession, these economies are booming. There couldn't be a better time than now for British businesses to seize these opportunities in some of the world's fastest expanding, but admittedly risky markets -- but how easy is it going to be?
